| Since 1999
several falsifications of an electrical table-lamp Gurschner's were
offered or sold in Europe and at last also in the USA. The original
was created by sculptor Gurschner 1897 and is described as following
in his workbook:
GG-1897008: Electrical table-lamp The Leaving, bronze, brown patina, on black pickled wood base, egg-shaped white glass body, on the plinth signed with GURSCHNER, foundry label K. K. KUNSTGIESSEREI WIEN (K. K. ART FOUNDRY VIENNA) , height of 60 cm, mod. no. 70 (1897).

| An original
bronze of this lamp - but without the glass body as lamp screen - has
been sold at last in Vienna within the 12th Viennese Art Auctions "Art
Nouveau" at 2nd October 1996.
The group of bronzes represents three figures. A young man raises his new loving, while its Leaving tries to keep itself desperately still on him.

| In 1998 the
first falsification appeared in Switzerland. Further damaged buyers
announced themselves also from Paris, London and last even from the
USA.
In all cases it concerns to an approx. 160 cm high bronze figure, which was sold with or without a lamp screen. As floor-lamp the bronze was offered with a lamp screen in kind of Tiffany. The falsification is marked in form of an engraving at the base with Gustave Gurschner.

| Because
most of the buyers paid considerable amounts for this falsification
- in good faith to have acquired an original - in April 1999 we made
a report to Interpol against unknown.
Further pertinent notes - they will be treated naturally strictly confidentially - we ask to send to accompanying address of the association Sculptor Gustav Gurschner. |
